Medieval and historical
city, Rodemack is located at 6 km of Luxembourg and 20 km of Germany.
Called Carcassonne Lorraine, this city, registered with the inventory
of the Historic buildings, is classified among the 139 "More
beautiful Villages of France" since 1987. The city still surrounded
by 700 meters of ramparts present of many attractions and charms
the visitor by his typical lanes where a perfume of antan is breathed.
This registered medieval village with l?inventaire of the Historic
buildings, was with Xe century field of the abbey of Echternach.
From XIIe Rodemechera century (thus called in 1148), becomes seigneurial
field. In 1190, Arnaud 1st having usurped the abbey goods of Echternah,
made set up the first feudal residence. That Ci will be transformed
into fortress at the beginning of XIVe century.
