Ivry la Bataille
is certainly one of the oldest main towers with buttress preserved,
presenting an articulation complexes room/rooms/vault, with overflowing
apse. Its attribution with Lanfroy, architect of Pithiviers, is
corroborated by old sights of this tower, also showing a structure
with overflowing apse; this one was magnifiée in second half
of XIe century by the turns of London and Colchester, like by the
tower of Grez-on-Loing, later by that of Falaise. |
