The imposing silhouette of the castle dominates peaceful the small harbour city which extends to its feet, perched over its calcareous cliff. The headland is occupied since the end of XIIe century, but the current building was high of only one jet in XVe century out of sandstone and flint. It shelters the museum of the city today, rich person of a particularly significant ivory collection.

The castle is open all days :

- on October 1 at May 31, except Tuesday, of 10h at 12h and 14h at 17h (18H Sunday)
- on June 1 at 30 September of 10h at 12h and 14h at 18h

The castle is closed the 01/01, 05/01, 11/01, 12/25.
