Royal residence of XIIe at the XVIIIe century, the castle of Vincennes preserved its enclosure, its medieval towers, the keep of XIVe century, the Ste Chapelle with its stained glasses of XVIe century. Recent excavations put at the day the vestiges of the residence where PhilippeAuguste and Saint Louis remained. The houses of the King and the Queen, built at the XVIIe century, shelter the historical Services of the three Armies.

The castle is open all days :

- on April 1 at September 30 of 10h at 12h and 13h at 18h (1st guided tour with 10h15, last guided tour with 17h15)
- on October 1 at March 31 of 10h at 12h and 13h at 17h (1st guided tour with 10h15, last guided tour with 16h15)

The keep is currently closed with the visit

The castle is closed on January 1, May 1, November 1, November 11 and December 25.
